Prince William owes his royal name to his German sire Fürst Wilhelm. This Fürst Heinrich son, who is classified at the Small Tour level, boasts excellent dressage blood with Sandro Hit, De Niro and Rubinstein I on his dam’s side.
Prince William’s dam Gadinda Altena is a half-sister to the famous French team horse Badinda Altena (s.Tolando), who competed in multiple championships at the highest level. Furthermore, Prince William’s granddam Nadinda produced the Small Tour horse Hilton Altena and two ZZ-light offspring. Her sire Goodtimes is known for passing on durability and power. Farther back in the dam-line is Rinaldo, who was among the first successful dressage sires in Dutch breeding. Through Gadinda Altena’s sire Ufo, we have the influence of the ‘King’ Ferro, who confers royal status to both Prince William and his pedigree.
