Picasso’s sire Geniaal was very successful in the Small Tour – with a victory in the VHO Trophy competition – under Dinja van Liere. The Vivaldi son is currently continuing his career under Andreas Helgstrand. Geniaal’s oldest offspring excelled in the inspections and stand out for their good conformation, talent and fine character.
Picasso’s dam Frouke boasts two celebrated half-brothers: the Grand Prix horse Aswin, ridden by Jean Rene Luijmes; and the Small Tour horse Brown Boy. Other horses from this line of the Doruto mare Lady include the stallions Hermès, the bronze medallist at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses; and Johnny Cash. The Grand Prix horses Clever Boy, Vital and New Holland also trace back to Lady, as do the Small Tour horses T.Movistar, Zeb, Il Divo, Tim, Webster, Chinski and Aptrick.
