Primadonna, like many of her sire Livius’s offspring, is a prima ballerina. Livius’s first foals are noted for their presence and expressive, light-footed movement. That lightness comes from his sire Bordeaux as well as his dam’s sire Vivaldi. Primadonna’s grandsire Florencio garnered acclaim as the world champion of young dressage horses. In Europe, his offspring are excelling in both sport and breeding.

Primadonna’s dam Ivy is a half-sister to the Small Tour horse Catwalk and the Z-level dressage horse Experience. The dam-line also produced the Grand Prix horse Wup, ridden by Joyce Heuitink. All the stallions in the dam-line have earned predicates for their positive influence on dressage horse breeding.
