Five Star successful in Wellington
The stallion Five Star (Amazing Star x Jazz) sold at the Excellent Dressage Sales in 2014, has been ridden by Kevin Kohmann since 2019. Last week, the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington included the 3* Grand Prix and Prix St.Georges. In the Prix St.Georges, the KWPN stallion Five Star was again in the spotlight. Kevin Kohmann won the PSG with Five Star, bred by the Bijvelds family from Erp, with 73.284%,.
Possibly to Pan Am Games
Kohmann did not start Five Star internationally last year. A month ago was the return of the couple in Wellington. “We didn’t start the Prix St. Georges/Inter1 for a long time,” he explained. “We did the national Grand Prix, but he’s not quite good enough for the international competitions yet, and going back to the light tour might give us a chance to qualify for the Pan Am Games. After the CDI’s we’ll see where he stands and evaluate, but he’s basically ready.”
