Excellent Dressage Sales online auction again a success!

Yesterday evening the 48 dressage talents from the Excellent Dressage Sales collection were sold online. It became an auction of diversity. For example, Dancer Again (by Prestige VDL) and Dutch Dandy (by Lord Leatherdale) were auctioned  for more than € 200,000,- but the bids for the young horses in particular went remarkably fast on the last day. Ultimately, the online auction achieved a turnover of more than € 2,000,000,-.

Talent was recognized
Talent was recognized by the buyers in both the young horses and the experienced horses. For example, the 4-year-old stallion Mendez (by Franklin), who moves with a lot of expression, changes hands for € 60,000.- The striking Filemon A.K. (v. Apache), which has already started successfully internationally in Intermediaire I, attracted the interest of several buyers. This very expressive gelding was sold to Germany for € 65,000,-.

This year the interest in the young dressage talents was very noticeable. From all over the world there were bids on the different 3-year-old horses.

Night Sky (by Franklin) turned out to be the most popular of the young horses. This easy moving mare changes hands for an amount of € 42,000,-. Other young animals for which the tension ran high during the auction were No Limit (by Total US) and Norton (by Just For You). The dark No Limit turned out to be worth € 35,000. The powerfully moving Norton leaves for Sweden for € 34,000,-.

Reliability and diversity

The EDS team is happy to see that the trust of the buyers is also so high online. “Reliability is important to us. We notice that more and more buyers find their way to Excellent Dressage Sales and also want to invest in talent. Both at home and abroad. The diversity of the collection is important for this. This year, too, it turned out that precisely this diversity meets the current market needs”, according to co-organiser Tim Coomans.
