The Excellent Dressage Sales team has found a new team member in Eugène Reesink, owner of Reesink Horses. Eugène is a true horse man and is successful in (breeding) young talented stallions. He is known for several successful horses, like Florencio, Franziskus, Don Juan de Hus, Spielberg, Schumacher, Florentiano, Vitalis, Ampère and Charmeur, and more recently Valverde and Asgards Ibiza.
From an early age Eugène was among horses. At the age of twenty he decided to focus on purchase and sales policy. Over the years he has built a large network of many good breeders in The Netherlands and abroad, with whom he regularly does business. He also provides breeding advice and determines the sales policy.
With good breeders he negotiates the first right of purchase in advance, in order to get good horses for the future. “I get very enthusiastic when I see a good-moving foal with a lot of charisma, which almost always grows into an interesting dressage horse”, says Eugène.
Tim Coomans has known the new team member for over thirty years and looks forward to the cooperation. “Eugène is a man of his word, which I find very important. He has a great view on horses and knows how to scout real talents among the young horses. By adding Eugène to the team, the EDS team is expanded with a hardworking and all-round horseman, who thinks outside the box and constantly looks for innovation.”
