Switch from national to international
Last months, Madeleine has started her horse Finnländerin (Fidertanz x Donnerhall) a few times in the Grand Prix at national competitions, after a very successful period in the Small Tour. During these national competitions scores of over 72% were already achieved, so the step to the international competitions was not unexpected. Last weekend the time had come, the combination started for the first time in an international competition during CDI Oldenburg.
Kurz Grand Prix
The promising combination started in the Kurz Grand Prix on Saturday. This test only exists in Germany and is also known as a young horse Grand Prix.
It is a shortened and slightly simplified version of a Grand Prix test. All Grand Prix exercises are requested, however less often and for a shorter time than in the real Grand Prix.
For Finnländerin and Madeleine a nice intermediate step to the real international Grand Prix level. With a fourth place and a score of 69.093% she was able to go home satisfied. The winner in this class was the Danish rider Daniel Bachmann Andersen with the young Marshall-Bell (s. Don Romantic), who made a dream debut with 74.767%.

Six years ago the promising Finnländerin was auctioned at the Excellent Dressage Sales. Since the talented son of Fidertanz forms a combination with Madeleine Witte-Vrees, he has proven time and time again his talent for the higher levels.
