The EDS Sponsors and Partners were invited by the EDS team and GASSAN Daimonds for a visit in Amsterdam recently. Most companies associated with the Excellent Dressage Sales have been involved since the first edition. EDS is very happy with these great co-operation. During this city trip this was demonstrated once again.
After a nice lunch in a café in the heart of Amsterdam, the group visited the head office. GASSAN Diamonds is housed in a beautifully restored steam-powered diamond cutting factory, built in 1879. The EDS guests were personally welcomed by owner Benno Leeser, grandson of founder Samuel Gassan. Afterwards there was a tour in the diamond factory, where you could see how the diamond diamond polishers perform their craft. Jacky Swinkels, responsible for the presence of the GASSAN Daimonds booth at Excellent Dressage Sales for years, explained where diamonds are found and how rough diamonds are transformed into beautiful diamonds.
Subsequently, loose cut diamonds were shown with technical explanations about how diamonds are valued. In the indoor Gassan Boutique and Rolex Boutique there was still an extensive jewellery and watch collection on display. The day ended with a drink in a cozy Amsterdam café.
